State Print Services
In 1993, the legislature passed HB 2626 (73R) and tasked CCG with a review of state print services. The review performed by CCG lead to a consolidation of approximately 33 state agency print shops to a total of nine consolidated print shops. Over time the shops have further consolidated leading to the five shops in existence today. These print shops are:
- Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)
- Health & Human Services Commission
- Texas Workforce Commission
- University of Texas (UT)
On May 17, 2010, CCG, in conjunction with the State Print Shops, TCI and the TPASS Division of the Comptroller of Public Accounts implemented a universal online job request form that enables agencies to submit a job request once and receive responses from all the state and TCI print shops. In addition, CCG has established overarching print shop contracts with each print shop that eliminate the need for individual interagency agreement contracts.
